Spring Creek Senior Partners (SCSP) held their annual health fair on Friday, February 21st in the Brooklyn Sports Club’s gym from 11am to 2pm.

This health fair was extraordinary because there were so many exhibits and vendors on hand to help the seniors and answer any questions that they had. There were representatives from each of the vendors including; the Alzheimer’s Foundations of America, Anchor Care, Brookdale Medical Center, Clean Caption, FDNY, Honor Health Network (CDPAP). Life Alert, Maimonides Medical Center, Medlife Pharmacy, Modern MD, New York Health Care (CDPAP), Poison Control, Rehab on Wheels, United Health care, US Bureau of Census, and Visiting Nurse Service. A representative from New York State Senator Roxanne Persaud’s office was at the health fair and answered questions that the Senator’s constituents had.

In addition to the various vendors there were free give-a-ways for the seniors, so they did not go home empty handed. There were brochures, and flyers with pertinent information, goodies like stress balls, and small flashlights.

Thirty-one seniors attended the health fair. Executive Director of SCSP, Ronald Jean said, “The Health Fair was successful, due to the fact the seniors had their questions and concerns answered on-site and by professionals.

SCSP holds two health fairs annually, this one in February and another one in June. If you missed this health fair, the next one is scheduled for Friday, June 5th.
