AUGUST IS NATIONAL EYE EXAM MONTH

August is National Eye Exam Month! Ophthalmologists recommend periodic eye exams every 2-4 months from the ages of 40-65 and every 1-2 years after the age of 65.

While most symptoms are often disregarded, getting a simple check-up and following a doctor’s order can greatly lower risks of more severe and future damage so that you can continue to have healthy vision.

Spring Creek Senior Partners will has partnered up with Health Care Choices, NY, INC; One Brooklyn Health, New York City Health & Hospital Cooperation and MetroPlus Health for free or low-cost eye exams for older adults 60 years old and over.

Spring Creek Senior Partners NORC will be conducting several workshops this month pertaining to health and wellness. Some of the topics include:

• Walk-A-Thon, every Monday & Thursday from 11am-12pm. (Waters are provided for each participant following each walk)
• Wellness Wednesday’s Line Dancing from 11am-12pm with Jasmine Jennings
• Bingo every Friday from 2pm-3:30pm.
• Senior Partners Field Trip Day to Ikea on August 25, 2023, at 10am
• Senior Partners Pet Adoption Day Part II July 24, 2023, from 12pm-2pm
• Brooklyn Cyclones Games August 08, 2023, at 11am-3pm
